This is a “fitness” class that includes “boxing!” Boxing fitness training will increase your fitness with a combination of cardio and strength exercises using basic boxing technique to gain great results. Mainly designed for the people that enjoy boxing with some cross training/circuit style training and whilst having fun too.
All equipment is provided. Some Individuals prefer to use their own gloves and/or wear wrist straps.
Do I need to know how to punch or have done boxing before???
No. This is a training program designed for people that are seeking the great benefits from boxing. Basic techniques will be coached for a safe and effective workout.
Does anyone get punched or do we spar?
Definitely not. This is not a violent class, it’s all about having some fun, getting a sweat and increasing your fitness!
IF YOU WANT TO GET IN A RING AND FIGHT… X-TRAINING IS NOT FOR YOU. We are about getting fit, enjoying some boxing and strength conditioning. And hopefully have bit of a laugh too.
IS IT REALLY COMPLICATED and DIFFICULT?
X-training principles will ensure you grasp the safe correct technique and gradually progress in a reasonable manner. Therefore you learn to hold gloves and focus correctly.
Combinations and drills are kept simple for you to grasp and to really be able to push yourself.
If you want complex combination and aggressive style training maybe joining a “BOXING GYM” is more your style.
