LOSE 2kgs in 45min!!!
2KILOS IN 45 MINUTES!
LOSE 2kgs in 45mins!…now thats got your attention. I completed a 45min HIGH INTENSITY session today and lost over 2kgs of bodyweight! WOW, you may think, AWESOME, thanks…But i know the truth that the majority of that was fluid/sweat.
Over the last few months I have being completing a self-research test , by measuring my bodyweight only, PRE-workout and POST-workout. Which always indicated a 1-2kg loss. So does that mean I can lose 10 kg within 10days???
NO.
But so many of us believe the scales are showing us or indicating if we are getting results!
As a personal trainer for many years I have had a constant battle with the scales. Telling people that it’s not the end of the world if you have gained 1 or 2 kgs, as when you train you gain some muscle mass therefore muscle is denser than fat. So if you lose some fat but gain a little muscle tone you may weigh the same or a touch heavier?!?!
“Prefer a tone/lean body, than jiggly/wobbly body”:-)
Understand Scales are only one way of tracking progress, and honestly as you become fitter and more knowledgable about your health. Scale weighing will be useless ( unless you want to gauge your hydration levels…)
So easily track you progress by girth measurements and/or skin folds! Or even easier – how does your favourite jeans fit you!
Numbers are SO important to people with fitness apps and cardio fitness devices, but at the end of the day they are only measuring a certain figure output of your body. The true value of health and wellness should come from within YOURSELF! Ask the question about how you performed the last workout? how did you feel before & after? are you happy & healthy? are you being realistic and sustainable? is this going to benefit me? does my body FEEL good? Did you challenge yourself enough to get the results you expect?
So sit down after your next workout and scan your body mentally and ask those few questions and hopefully with most of them you answer YES, resulting to a happier, healthier, lean and fit body will be achieved.
Remember scales are just one tool of measurement, so don’t let it ruin your week or day just because your measurement is out from your expectation by a 1kg or 2kgs! Go sweat that 1-2kgs at your next X-training session and reset your body!
