Green smoothie

You need a good kick start to the day? This recipe will give an abundance of nutrients and greatness to entire body. Rewarding it with some of the best things in the superfood world.

Green is best! Some people don’t understand the benefit of green smoothies, learn to love the joy of smoothies. No need for fancy blenders or juicers, just your plain standard blender will do (yes you thermomix/vitamix junkies out there, yes use your machines…)

  • 1 or 2 Kale leaves
  • 1-2 Sticks of celery
  • Handful of spinach
  • Half cucumber
  • Half teaspoon cinnamon
  • Pinch of nut meg
  • 1/4 Avocado
  • Teaspoon of cacao powder
  • Scoop of protein powder ( chocolate, I use sunwarrior Raw vegan rice protein)
  • Teaspoon of cacao powder
  • Handful of blueberries
  • Handful of ice cubes and/or half cup of coconut water

It is Low sugar and packed of goodness (actually full of greatness!).

Oh and if needed squeeze a lemon takes any bitterness away.

By the way this is all fast, quick, so don’t worry if you put a little more of little less, just smashed into your blender and “WHIZZ IT UP” to the consistency you like. I like chunkie some days and other days I blend to a smoooooth liquid. YUMMO.

The benefit to making smoothies this way, is you don’t waste/lose the fibre and the bulk of the vegies like a juicer would. Juicers tend to take all or most of the fibrous greatness out your smoothie.

Drink up and watch and feel you the entire body invigorate thru the coming days.
